I'm not sure about what to post....first of all, welcome to my blog!
I have been an animal lover all my life. I am particularly partial to cats. This picture is of my kitty, Tristan (tabby) laying next to his friend Delilah. I had Tristan for 9 wonderful years! He had to be put to sleep this past September because he just couldn't win his battle with diabetes. He became insulin resistant. I miss him terribly. He was one of the reasons I chose medical transcription. I wanted a job that I would love and allow me to be home with him to try to manage his diabetes properly. That is, more like humans do....monitoring his blood sugar levels, using a sliding scale for insulin dosage, and trying to find a proper diet he would tolerate. But there just wasn't enough time. I still have his buddies with me, Pywackett -15, Delilah -10, Siegfried (Tristan's brother) -9, and a new addition, Meanie -7. They are my wonderful feline children!
We had a cat that had to be put down too. She lasted 17 years. I found her as a kitten in an alleyway when I was 5. She had lost her hearing and eyesight and had arthritis all over. She couldn't see or hear anything and she cried every time she moved.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your beloved cat. You truly showed your love of her by helping her when she needed you most. My belief is that she is now waiting for you at Rainbow Bridge. She is restored and is as beautiful and loving as she is now in your most cherished memories. I'm sure Tristan was there to greet her.
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful tribute to your beloved kitty tristan. the world would be such a colorless place without animals. thanks for fixing the link to your blog. that is also why i chose medical transcription, so i could work from home, and be here with my dogs. they seem to get so irritated when i leave, even if is just to go to the store for a short time. i can't wait to see more pictures of your kitties. :)
